Floating berth consists of three hinge-jointed metallic pontoons, transportation bridge and house located on main pontoon. Floating berth is fixed to ground by anchors and to piers by steel ropes. Floating berth consists of following arrangements: mooring, shock-absorption, mast, railing, etc.

Each pontoon is divided into 13 water-gasproof compartments. House serves as shelter for personnel during bad weather conditions.

To the place of installation floating berth is delivered by water.

Thickness of design connections, anticorrosion protection and observance of technical operation rules ensure exploitation of lighter for the period of 26 years.
