The destabilization of Azov Shipyard work failed

On the 8th of December on the territory of Azov ship repair yard the search was performed by the representatives of the Mariupol Prosecutor's office, with the support of divisions of the State Security Service of Ukraine. The purpose of the search was the withdrawal of documentation related to business activity of “SRZ”Ltd.
The search was made in the receiving office, offices of general director, chief accountant, deputy director on economics and finance, in the financial department, the contracts department and legal department. Also the territory of Azov Shipyard was searched, particularly the area of loading berth and weighing house. The search was performed by three groups of investigators of State Security Service and Prosecutor’s office, totally about 20 persons.
Then there were made rigorous searches of premises with a purpose to find the originals and duplicates of commercial contracts and records of “accounting frauds”.
In the end of search of several offices of administration building, in the contract department there were “found” commercial contracts as of from 2005 to 2015 year, the duplicates of all originals were made; duplicates were withdrawn according to checklist. Accounting frauds have not been revealed.
Fortunately, such actions of this group don’t cause panic among enterprise employees, as they were numerously given a warning about possible forcible takeover of the yard.
The search is treated as nothing short of demonstration of force, pressure on management of “SRZ”Ltd and the attempt to destabilize the work of strategically important enterprise and destroy the positive business reputation of Azov Shiprepair Yard.
The business of the region, under the current military, political and economic circumstances, is in the survival mode. The need to maintain a constant balance between the reduction of production volumes and the fulfillment of obligations towards employees, business partners and government often leads to stagnation, and often to liquidation of the enterprise.
At this time the force structures’ attacks of doubtful legal nature lasts towards efficiently working businesses.
Notwithstanding the declared changes in government institution and force structures, the State Security Service of Ukraine is continued to be used as lever of pressure on business.
We consider such actions as an attempt of rough interference in the business activity of the enterprise, acting in the unfair interests of third parties. Unfortunately, such actions on the part of force structures may have a negative impact on the goodwill of the business.
However, we want to assure everyone that, despite the attempts to destabilize the situation in the company which is successfully works in the city and region, the Azov Shiprepair Yard keeps work among effectively working units of the economy and industry of Ukraine. The company continues to operate in normal production regime, salary is fully paid, all taxes and levies are transferred into the state budget.
