The management of "SRZ"LTD continues struggle with the State Property Fund of Ukraine for the fate of the unique and the only Ukrainian shipyard on the sea of Azov. Initiating early termination of the lease, the SPF endanger the work team, numbering in the thousands, which has survived more than one economic crisis, and now is successfully working practically in wartime and faithfully pays taxes.
General Director of "SRZ"LTD Dmitriy Lyashov said about it in on-air interview to “Gromadske radio”.
According to him, at the present time the enterprise successfully works in two directions, such as the transshipment of cargo and production of grabs for Ukrainian enterprises. The package of orders is formed, a collective is provided with work, there are some prospects for cooperation, but the State Property Fund with the support of the Prosecutor Office of Ukraine has initiated the number of legal actions, both against the enterprise and the management of the yard.
"Problems began as early as 2012, first they made more rigorous terms of lease, raising the rate from 4 to 20 percents, and reducing the term of lease from 10 years to 3. But we continued to work, pay taxes and increase wages to our employees. In 2015 we paid 7 million hryvnias of lease only, and the general tax withholdings attained more than 55 million hryvnias. During the year we found opportunity to raise wages three times for 10 percents", - Dmitry Lyashov said.
However, as it turned out such indexes are not the argument for the officials, so the legal proceedings last. By the way, in the middle of January the appeal of “SRZ” Ltd was dismissed and the decision of the Economic court of the Donetsk region about pre-term cancellation of lease is remaining valid. The management of enterprise traces here the desire of the interested persons to “fish in troubled waters".
“Such zeal, with which the officials together with prosecution authorities and Security Service of Ukraine fight for some imaginary interests of the state, shows a certain financial support”, - clarifies the general director. – “Probably, the interests of unknown to us businesses are at the back of all legal proceedings. But under the circumstances nobody thinks of people, in fact it is not clear what it will be with thousand of workers after the cancellation of the lease contract. I count on mediation of leadership of city, region and even the states. We all need a compromise in order to save the enterprise for the region, business, state and people”.
