Among enterprises producing ecological purpose vessels, “SRZ” ltd ranks high due to building of sea-going harbor-roads oil and debris skimmers developed by Marine Fleet Scientific Research Institute. For the period of its activity the yard has built 200 vessels. 

Oil and debris skimmers built by Azov Shiprepair yard were delivered to all ports of former USSR and numerous ports of Cuba, India, Germany, Romania, Yugoslavia, Poland, and Bulgaria.

All vessels have been successfully operating during 30 years, that proves efficiency and reliability of their constructions, their trouble-free exploitation.

The first oil and debris skimmer of project 2550/3 was built for port of Novorossiisk in 1967. There were built 45 vessels of such a project. In 1974 the oil and debris skimmer of project 2550/4 was built, and then 106 vessels of such a project were built.

Oil and debris skimmers of projects 25505 and 205A are more improved. When they have been designed, great attention was paid to improvement of constructions of main technological systems, increasing of fuel-oil receiving tanks capacity and extending of functional capabilities.

Type oil and debris skimmer of project 25505 was built in 1986, and then 69 vessels of this project were built. The yard built over 20 vessels of project 25505 for Greek ports and 4 vessel of same project for UAR.

Today “SRZ” ltd offers to its customers finished articles of project 25505, favorable feature of which is improvement of construction and moderate price.

Testing of oil and debris skimmers of project 25505 was successfully performed at American base OHMSET, in national environment protection laboratory, Leonardo, New Jersey. This project was awarded with international diploma of Citrade Award Organization for achievements in fight for environment cleanness.

Sea-going oil and debris skimmers of project 25505 presented themselves in good light and now they form the basis of fleet of harbour ecological purpose vessels in CIS countries as well as in foreign countries.

The last achievement is oil and debris skimmer of project 205A, which is more perfect than project 25505. It is able to perform not only environment protection functions, but also to render wide range of services in respect to fleet maintenance in ports, in particular, to receive bilge waters from the vessel with their further delivery for purifying. The main advantages of oil and debris skimmers of project 205A as compared with previous projects are following: heightened maneuverability, increased speed, increased capacity of FO tanks, high level of living conditions.

Type oil and debris skimmer of project 205A was built in 1997, and since then 2 vessels of this project were built.
